NHR Substance Use and Recovery Adult Services

Community-based treatment programs are designed for individuals struggling with alcohol, drug, and/or gambling issues who have adequate community resources and support systems. Separate programs are typically available for alcohol/drug clients, affected individuals, and gambling clients. For those unable to visit an AFM service location, a telephone counseling service is available for gambling clients.

These programs offer both individual and group counseling sessions, with treatment plans tailored to each person’s needs. Sessions are held during the day and are available for men, women, or on a gender-specific basis. Additionally, educational services are provided to help clients realistically assess their gambling, alcohol, and/or drug use and its impact on their lives and those around them.

Adult services are available to individuals 18 years and older seeking help for their own or someone else’s involvement with alcohol, drugs, or gambling. We offer both in-house treatment and community-based services across various communities in Manitoba.
Adult Treatment Services provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals making healthy lifestyle changes, recognizing that these changes often require time and involve taking personal risks. If substance use or gambling issues are causing concern for you or your family, we are here to help.

When someone is struggling with addiction, their family and loved ones are affected too. Whether you’ve lived with addiction yourself or experienced it through a loved one, we offer support to help you explore how a history of addiction impacts your life today—and how you can move forward.
