New Community Care Clinic in Thompson
The NHR is pleased to announce the full opening of the Community Care Clinic at Thompson General Hospital, effective March 24, 2024.
The Community Care Clinic provides non-emergent care for ambulatory or mobile non-ambulatory individuals, exclusively through referrals from healthcare providers. Services include IV infusions, phlebotomy, and wound care.
Location: Room M170, Thompson General Hospital (main floor)
871 Thompson Drive South, Thompson, MB R8N 0C8
Hours: 7:15 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. – 7 days a week
Referral Process: Patients are referred based on medical requirements and care needs. Referrals are initiated by healthcare providers and follow-up appointments are scheduled accordingly.
Patient Procedures: Patients arriving at the clinic should report to Room M170 with their Manitoba Health Card. Rescheduling or inquiries can be made by calling 204-677-5308.
The clinic provides a range of services, including intravenous (IV) infusions, phlebotomy, wound care, and soon-to-be-available cast care, exclusively for referred clients. It’s important to note that this clinic does not provide primary care services, and walk-in or episodic care is not available.
For primary care or episodic care, individuals should reach out to the Thompson Clinic. For episodic care anytime, QDOC is a virtual option. Health concerns warranting a higher level of care should be addressed at the Emergency department.
