Another successful Northern Lights Tour!

On September 20, 2019, in partnership with the MB Healthcare Providers Network, the Northern Health Region (NHR) hosted the Northern Lights Tour in The Pas, MB. The Northern Lights Tour is an annual event where the NHR welcomes a large group of university students to the region. This years’ group was comprised of 35 students and brought forth a mixture of Nursing and Allied Health students at different stages of their academic studies.

During their weekend in the host community, the students participate in facility tours, presentations with Regional Recruiters, Department Managers, Senior Management staff, and are offered the ability to connect with other healthcare professionals. This annual event allows the students to see firsthand what the North has to offer.

During their stay, students were encouraged to consider the Northern Health Region for educational placements and future employment opportunities. The Northern Health Region hopes to continue with this annual event.
