Rehabilitation Services
There are a number of services which focus on rehabilitation from physical injury or conditions that restrict mobility and functional living. Included are audiology, physical and occupational therapy, speech and language.
Services offered are designed to help individual communities leverage current resources and build capacity to create and sustain health among their community members through Community Health Development Services.

Student-Led Interprofessional Clinic (SLIC)
Do you have a neurological condition? Do you want to improve your physical function?
The Student-Led Interprofessional Clinic (SLIC) may be the place for you!
SLIC-neuro offers goal-oriented, task-based, intensive rehabilitation for Manitobans with neurological conditions such as:
- Acquired Brain Injury, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, brain and/or spinal cord damage related to cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and other movement disorders.
- Guillain-Barré syndrome, post-polio syndrome, multiple sclerosis, balance disorders, genetic and congenital conditions, and more.
SLIC is located at Riverview Health Centre and is open yearly from April – June. Participation is free of charge and may be in person and/or via tele-rehabilitation.
Care is provided by students from the University of Manitoba Rady Faculty of Health Sciences under the supervision of licensed healthcare practitioners. Students from Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Pharmacy, Respiratory Therapy and others may be involved in your care.
