Services:

  • Basic health assessments for minor health concerns, with consultation support from emergency physicians at Thompson General Hospital as needed.
  • Coordination of medical transportation for scheduled appointments outside the community, including medivac or ambulance transfers to Thompson Emergency Department when required.
  • Monthly visits from a health care provider for in-community appointments.
  • Monthly Public Health Nurse visits providing public health services.

  • Public Health services provided by nurses weekly.

The Primary Care Clinic is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Closed on weekends and statutory holidays).
Appointments are available between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
The Thompson Clinic currently has providers accepting new clients.

Walk-In Clinic
The Walk-In Clinic at 50 Selkirk Avenue, Thompson is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

Walk-In Clinic  – Every Tuesday at 11:00 AM  – 5:00 PM

 Offering all primary care services for ages 12-25 including:

  • General Health Concerns
  • Sexual Health
    • Including PAPs, STI testing and treatment, pregnancy tests
    • Contraception (birth control), insertion & removal of IUDs and birth control implants
  • Mental Health
  • Medication refills
  • Referrals

All Ages: IUD insertion/removal, birth control implant insertion, and medical abortion.

Visit in person during walk-in hours or call 204-627-6468.

No referral is needed. Visit during walk in hours to discuss your options.  Once you’ve received a prescription, you can return to walk-in for your procedure.

  • Same-Day Appointment Bookings
    Same-day appointments can be booked by phone at 204-623-3334. Patients will be provided a scheduled appointment time that same day. These services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and may reach capacity. Once the daily limit is reached, patients will be advised of alternative care options or the next available appointment.
  • Specialty Services
    Referrals are required for specialty services, including General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Colposcopy, Obstetrics/Gyne, and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner care.
  • Phone appointments are available upon request.
